The new »Spaceman« by Brendan Murphy stands in deep matte black, immediately charging the room with a quiet tension. The velvety surface absorbs light, sharpening every contour and giving the figure an almost weightless calm. Above the dark suit, the polished gold helmet gleams, mirroring everything around it and drawing the viewer into the work: you glimpse yourself in the reflective visor as part of the scene. With arms stretched wide in a gesture of celebration, the figure feels open and welcoming. Across the suit, Murphy’s signature handwritten messages appear, short prompts about dreams and possibilities. They seem inscribed into the body itself rather than simply applied as decoration.
