2. General information

The protection of your personal data is a high priority for us. We process your data solely within the framework of the law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can use this website without providing any personal information.

3. Visiting the website

To display the pages in your browser, our web server necessarily processes your IP address and the information your browser sends with its request. The website sets no cookies, uses no third-party analytics or advertising services and embeds no content from other providers. The fonts are stored on our own server; no connection is made to Google or any other third party.

Cookie-free audience measurement. To learn which pages and works are of interest and where visitors come from (for example via our newsletter, Instagram or a search engine), we count page views exclusively on our own server. For each page view we store only: the page visited, date and time (to the minute), the origin in general form (such as “Google”, “Instagram”, “Newsletter” or the name of the referring website), a campaign name contained in the link, the device class (phone, tablet or computer) and a daily code. The daily code is calculated from the IP address and browser identifier together with a random value that changes every day, is held only in memory and is never stored. It cannot be traced back to you or linked across several days; your IP address itself is not stored for this purpose. No cookies are set and no data is passed on to third parties. We delete the counting data after 25 months at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing our website according to demand (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To celebrate the launch of the new website (until 31 October 2026), your browser stores in its local storage only a note that the welcome animation has already been shown, so that it does not appear again. This note contains no personal data, is not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.

4. Inquiries about a work

If you send an inquiry about a work using the form, we process your name, your email address, the work and the time of the inquiry. We use this information solely to reply to your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The inquiry is stored on our server and forwarded to the gallery by email. To prevent misuse, we also store a shortened, irreversible check value of your IP address. We delete the information as soon as it is no longer needed to handle your inquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your name and email address to inform you about exhibitions, openings and news from the gallery. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We use the double opt-in procedure: after subscribing, you receive an email with a confirmation link. Only when you click this link do we add your address to our mailing list. This ensures that no one can subscribe using someone else’s address. To document your consent, we store the time of subscription and of confirmation. Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after seven days.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or with a short message to galerie@juleplate.art. We do not pass your data on to third parties; to send the newsletters we use the service rapidmail (rapidmail GmbH, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany), with which we have a data processing agreement.

6. Hosting and email

This website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data center in Germany. Our email inbox is operated by united-domains GmbH, Starnberg, Germany. Both providers process data only on our behalf.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing and withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD) in Kiel.

To exercise your rights, simply send a message to galerie@juleplate.art.

8. Copyright and use of images

The works shown on this website are protected by the copyright of the respective artists. Reproduction, storage, digital processing, redistribution or any other use, in particular downloading, is not permitted without express written consent.
