After the Storm is composed of fragments from earlier works and transforms Asher's gestural, expressive painting style into a strictly structured, almost architectural form. Through its grid-like logic, the collage creates a visual order that contrasts with the impulsive style of the individual surfaces, like stabilisation through fragmentation.
